AHA BLS for Healthcare Provider

The Instructor-led, American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers, is designed to provide a wide variety of healthcare professionals the ability to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe, timely, and effective manner. This course teaches both single-rescuer and team basic life support skills for application in both out-of-hospital and in-hospital, with a focus on High-Quality CPR and team dynamics. It is intended for certified or noncertified, licensed or non licensed healthcare professionals.

Certificaton:  2 Year AHA BLS Provider certification card.

Intended Audience: Healthcare providers such as physicians, nurses, paramedics, emergency medical technicians, respiratory therapists, physical and occupational therapists, physician's assistants, residents or fellows, or medical or nursing students in training, aides, medical or nursing assistants, police officers, and other allied health personnel.

Written/Skills Exam: Written and Skills Testing is required for completion card

HSI CPR, AED and Basic First Aid Combo Class

The Health Safety Institute (HSI) CPR/AED and Basic First Aid class is designed for individuals that require or desire a basic knowledge in CPR, AED and First Aid skills. Students learn how to recognize a life-threatening emergency, how to provide basic life support and what to do in case of an airway obstruction or choking.  This extremely flexible program will help employers meet OSHA and other federal and state regulatory requirements for training employees how to respond and care for medical emergencies at work. Covers Adult, Child and Inffant CPR techniques.

Course Length: Approximately 5 hours

Intended Audience: Designed for individuals in the workplace and community that require or desire basic CPR , AED skills and first aid knowledge.

 **This class is NOT intended for Healthcare Providers*** (Please take our AHA BLS course if you are in healthcare.)

Card Type:  HSI CPR, AED and First Aid certification card good for 2 years

Cost: $90

 

HSI CPR and AED Community & Workplace

Intended Audience
Individuals who require or desire elementary first aid knowledge and skills with a focus on adults, children, or both

Card Type: HSI Basic First Aid certification card good for 2 years

AHA HeartCode BLS for Healthcare Provider Hands-On Skills Session - Part 2

The American Heart Association (AHA) HeartCode® BLS for Healthcare Provider Hands-On Skills Session - Part 2

Learners enrolling in this course must have completed the AHA Heartcode BLS for Helathcare Provider's course in the past year and upload their certificate from the course prior to scheduling the skills appointment.

If you have not yet completed the AHA Heartcode BLS course, please choose the AHA BLS for Healthcare course instead.

Intended Audience: This is ONLY the Hands-on skills sessions for students who have already completed their online coursework.

Card Type:  American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification card good for 2 years

Blended Completion: the online blended portion must be completed prior to the class (click here to signup through AHA)

Skills: Skills Testing is required for completion card
